Alaska's Healing Hearts provides nationwide outdoor programs for veterans and is now starting a free Art Program.

Classes will be held on the 4th Tuesday of each month from April to October, and the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month from November to March.

Up to 20 veterans will participate, learning basic to advanced drawing skills.

​

The next class is the 4th Tuesday of the month, from 6-9 p.m. at  3801 E Bogard Rd, Wasilla, AK 99654.

​

Basic shapes, shading, and perspective will be covered initially, followed by sketching and color theory/color mixing with other art media and techniques.

​

Food and drinks (non-alcoholic) will be provided.

Details for a drawing/art contest and/or exhibit during the AHH's Annual Awards Banquet in December will be announced later.
