Alaska's Healing Hearts wishes to thank sponsors of Military Appreciation Nights of Skiing & Snowboarding

Alaska's Healing Hearts held several Military Appreciation Nights at Hilltop in January. We partnered with Hilltop Ski Area to host evenings of skiing and snowboarding. Military personnel and their families enjoyed free lift tickets, lessons, food and prizes! More than 200 military members joined the fun on the first event.  Due to overwhelming positive response from this event, we did it again in February and March! Thanks to our generous sponsors-- Hilltop Ski Area, Play It Again Sports, Ondago DJ Entertainment, Odom Corporation, Chevrolet of South Anchorage, and REI for making these winter events possible.

White House recognizes Alaska's Healing Hearts

Alaska's Healing Hearts gets a shout out from the White House for their partnership with Warrior Transitional Battalion (WTB) Soldiers and Family members.

The Soldier Family Assistance Centers (SFAC) located at both locations work closely with WTB Soldiers and Family members to provide support programs through the transition process.  The SFAC staff at Alpha and Bravo companies also act as liaisons with the civilian community outside their gates. They create partnerships with organizations and programs such as Equine Therapy, Alaska Healing Hearts, and the Elks Club. These partnerships not only provide therapeutic activities, but also allow Soldiers and Family members to enjoy some unique Alaskan experiences.
